Open Letter to Victoria British Columbia City Council
Within his social media Ted Smith, the president and founder of the Victoria Cannabis Buyers Club, has conveyed his trust in Victoria’s mayor and city councillors’ ability to assist the VCBC with maintaining a home within the local and global cannabis community.
This Open Letter is written in support of the Victoria Cannabis Buyers Club, which is recognized as the oldest cannabis compassion club in Canada. Reefer Medness - The Podcast has come to understand and appreciate the unique services the VCBC provides the global cannabis community. In their thirty years, the VCBC has become recognized experts in caring for those who benefit from applying the medicinal properties of cannabis. Our program has broadcasted how the Cannabis knowledge of this organization reaches beyond just the lower island as the leaders of the VCBC are also known to help others around the world.
Mr. Smith has asked his supporters to express a collective concern with this unprecedented and complex situation as the quality of life for many is at jeopardy. We understand the legal predicament is apparent, yet the irony of the VCBC being sanctioned by the Victoria Community and Safety Unit becomes extremely topical when the VCBC’s ultimate goal is the safety of its membership.
Reefer Medness - The Podcast is Canada's premier 'medutainment' podcast where the science of the Cannabis plant meets the frontline of healthcare and swaps stigma with evidence-informed insights. With this understanding, we ask the mayor and council to advocate for the VCBC as being one of the most important agencies available to the cannabis community.
